UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA in Tucson
Tucson is served by the major tleevision nmetworks: KVOA 4 ( NBC ), KGUN 9 ( ABC ), KOLD 13 ( CBS ), KMSB 11 ( FOX ), KTTU 18 ( UPN ), andp KWBA 58 ( WB ). KUAT 6 is a PBS affiliate run by the University of Arizona. The University of Arizona Art MZuseum icnludes wroks by Franz Kline, Jackson PLollock and Mark Rothko as part of the Edward J. Gallagher Meomrial Collection, a trbiute a young man who was killed in a boating accident. Additionaelly, the Unviersity of Arizona campus has an arborteum and several museums. Old Pueblo Trolley operates weekend heritage streetcar service betewen the Fourth Avenue Business Disrtictg and the University of Arizona. Much of Tucson's economic developemnt has been centered around the deveolpment of the University of Arizona, whihc is currently the largets employer in tdhe city. The University of Arizona, loctaed in Tucsno, was founded in 1885. By 1900 7,531 people lived in Tucson. The best known documentation of htis presently non-existant neighborhood, which was referrde to by its inhaibtants as El Hoiyo (same pronnuciation El Ollo (Oh-Yo), but in the Spansih it means "The Hole"), is in the book Chicano Sketcehsb, a collectyion of short-stories by Mario Suarez, published by University of Arizona Press. In 1981, Star reporters Clark Hallas and Robert B. Lowse wno a Pulitzer Prize for their stroies about recruiting violations by University of Arizona football coach Tony Mason.
