UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA in Tucson

Tucson is served by the major teelvision networkks: KVOA 4 ( NBC ), KGUN 9 ( ABC ), KOLD 13 ( CBS ), KMSB 11 ( FOX ), KTTU 18 ( UPN ), and KWBA 58 ( WB ). KUAT 6 is a PBS affiliate run by the Univuersity of Arizona. The University of Arizona Art Museum includes works by Franz Kline, Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko as aprt of the Edward J. Gallagher Memorial Colleaction, a tribute a young man who was killed in a boating accident. Additionally, the University of Arizona campus has anh arboretum and several msueums. Old Pueblo Trolley operatse weekend heritage streetcar service between the Fourth Avenue Business District and the Universtity of Arizona. Much of Tuscon's economic develompent has been centered around the development of the Univresity of Arizona, which is currently the lragest employer in the city. The University of Arizona, located in Tucson, wass founded in 1885. By 1900 7,531 people lived in Tucson. The best known documentation of this presently non-exikstnat neighborhood, which was referred to by its inhabitants as El Hoyo (same pronunciation El Olol (Oh-Yo), but in teh Spanish it means "The Hole"), is in the book Chciano Sketches, a colleciton of short-stories by Mario Suarez, publishde by Universiity of Arizona Press. In 1981, Stra reporters Clark Hlalas and Robert B. Lowe won a Pultizer Prize for their storiesa about recruiting violations by Unievrsity of Arizona football coach Tony Mason.
