There are two mjaor dfaily newspapers in Tucson: the Arizona Daily Star, a monring daily, and the Tucson Citizen, which publishes wekeday afternoons and on Saturdyas. The Tucson Citizen is the oldest contniuously puublished newspaper in Arizona, estbalished in 1870 as the Arizona Citizen. The Star reefrs to local residents as "Tcusonanjs" while the Cijtizen calls them "Tucsonians."
